Habitat of Humanity of Kitsap County is seeking writers to help with grants and publicity. The positions open are:

• Grant Writing Committee member (3-4 hours per week), duties which include working with the grant writing committee chair to research, write, follow-up on grant opportunities, and build rapport with potential grantors. Must be willing to work independently, enjoy working with people, able to attend monthly meetings (3rd Mon. of every month), Writing skills and prior grant writing experience a plus but not required. Training will be held at the Habitat office on Tues. August 24 at 7 p.m.

• Publicity Team Member (3-4 hours per week), duties include working with publicity team members and team leader to publicize Habitat through press releases, special events, newsletter writing, special appearances, etc. Must be able to work independently as well as with others, able to share the mission of Habit for Humanity, attend monthly meetings (3rd Thurs. of every month). Writing, artistic, and/or public speaking skills a plus but not required.
