Kitsap Housing Coalition is holding it’s seventh annual Affordable/Fair Housing Event at the Kitsap Mall’s Center Court on Sat. June 12, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Between 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. mini-classes regarding FHA 203K program, the Home Choice program for people with disabilities, and a program describing how to avoid predatory lenders will be offered.

This event will give first time buyers valuable information. Free advice from local Realtors, government agencies, non-profits and credit counselors regarding credit counseling, one-on-one mortgage advice, down payment assistance programs, government loans, low-moderate income mortgages, affordable housing and emergency and rental housing will be available.

Participants will learn to take the mystery out of buying a home and how to plan and budget for home ownership, as well as how to choose a Realtor, how to get a mortgage loan, how to qualify for special loan programs and many more topics.
