The BJC Group Inc. of Port Orchard recently announced the completion of the new Social Security Administration (SSA) office located at the corner of Bucklin Hill Road and Mickelberry Road in Silverdale. The SSA has relocated from its previous location in East Bremerton.

The new facility is comprised of approximately 12,000 square feet of office space, and the SSA is the main tenant in the building.

The BJC Group was responsible for the design and construction of the new facility. The “Design-Build” process used to construct the facility provides for a unified “team approach” that involves the designers, general contractor, subcontractors, and suppliers. It helps reduce construction disputes and change orders, in addition to being convenient for the owner, since there is only one contract and one point of contact.

The main local participants on the project include: NL Olson & Associates Engineering and Surveying, Pacific Electric Company, Silverdale Plumbing and Heating, Sullivan Heating, Sabelhaus West Painting, Dahl Glass, Fox Fire Protection, Vern’s Roofing, Yamamoto Landscaping, Stripe Rite, Ace Paving, and Parker Lumber.
