The Building Industry Association of Washington (BIAW), a member of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), had another banner membership year in 2003 and a quick look at the numbers shows:
- BIAW tied #1 Florida for the highest percentage of increase during the year;
- BIAW had the second highest numerical gain with 746 net new members (first place Florida ranks #4 nationally in terms of total population);
- BIAW moved ahead of Texas to capture the #6 position (up from 9th in 2002);
- BIAW qualified to join the elite group of states entitled to an additional seat on the Executive Board of the National Association of Home Builders, by closing out the year with over 10,000 members.
