David Godbolt, owner of Sentinel Construction in Kingston has earned the area’s first Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist designation from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).

Sentinel Construction specializes in new construction and remodeling to help people live independently. The Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) designation teaches the technical, business management and customer service skills essential to the fastest growing segment of the residential remodeling industry. The certification is earned through the National Association of Home Builders Remodelors Council in collaboration with American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), the NAHB Housing Council.

“Many of our senior citizens want to remain in their homes, but need improved assess to kitchen, baths and living spaces,” Godbolt said, “and we have the experience and specialized products to make it easier to live independently.
