The Kitsap County Association of Realtors (KCAR) recently announced the selection of Mike Eliason as its new Government Affairs Director.

Eliason, a Kitsap native, offers extensive experience in the real estate industry, the political arena, and in public affairs.

During the past two decades, Eliason held real estate sales associate and associate broker licenses and specializesd in the sale of residential properties.

He successfully won election to public office on three occasions – Commissioner of the North Kitsap Parks and Recreation District; Commissioner, of the Kitsap Fire Protection District No. 18; and Supervisor at the Kitsap Conservation District – and has served as a member of numerous non-profit boards, including the Board of Directors of United Way of Kitsap County; Viking Fest; and served as chairman of the Marine Science Center Building Project fundraising.

Eliason recently completed his term as the chief executive officer of a fire protection district. Under his leadership, the district received the prestigious Management Excellence Award from the Washington Fire Commissioners Association. In addition, the Greater Poulsbo Chamber of Commerce has recognized him for his service to the community.
