Fischer tapped as new Realtors EO

Dan Fischer has been named as the new executive officer of the Kitsap County Association of Realtors (KCAR). He replaces Larry Johnson who resigned several months ago in what amounted to an internal political dispute with a small faction of the membership who questioned his integrity in the job. An audit proved Johnson had not violated any of the terms of his employment and that all financial affairs of the group were in order. It had been alleged by the dissidents that there problems in both areas.

Longtime former executive officer Mary Jane Anderson stepped in to fill the slot while a search was conducted for Johnson’s replacement.

Fisher brings a strong business background to KCAR. He is a graduate of Creighton University with a BSBA, and owned and operated a retail company for 17 years. Prior to that, he served as controller for an industrial distributor and an office manager/accountant for the headquarters of a national food chain. His experience includes knowledge and experience in a wide range of business subjects with a strong background in organization, accounting, and human resources.

Fischer and his wife Virginia have been married for 32 years and relocated here from the Omaha area where they have lived all their lives. They have two adult children, including a daughter who lives in Puyallup with her husband and infant son, which is the reason they chose to relocate to this area.

Fischer may be reached at 360-692-8852.
