With its continuing emphasis on the construction of healthcare facilities, Mechanical contractor Stirrett Johnsen recently sponsored a seminar on Infection Control Risk Assessment.
We feel it is imperative that our employees, and sub-contractors, become better educated in this unique aspect of healthcare construction, said Steve Stirrett, general manager of the Silverdale company.
Every year nearly 88,000 deaths occur in the United States from illnesses acquired while in a hospital, Stirrett said. The infection control assessment is a process to assess and minimize the risk to patients from noise, dust and other contaminants that may result from construction activities. |
