   At the membership meeting held on Thursday, November 15, at the Kitsap Golf and Country Club, the Home Builders Association of Kitsap County (HBA) announced the winners of the first annual Remodeling Excellence Awards (REX). The “REX” awards recognize outstanding remodeling projects completed during the past year.
   “The REX award program is the first for our Remodelers Council and a great way to recognize outstanding remodelers and their projects” said Charlie Mackall, CGR the 2002 Chair of the HBA’s Remodelers Council.
   Winners in eight remodeling categories were selected from the entries by a panel of four experienced and highly qualified remodelers from around Washington State.

The winners of the 2002 Remodeling Excellence Award are:

• Residential Specialty/Open:  JAFA Enterprises
• Residential Whole House Remodel over $150,000:  SKS Construction
• Residential Whole House Remodel – $75,000 - $150,000:  Northwest Renovations
• Residential Addition under $75,000:  Ironwood Builders, Inc.
• Commercial Remodel under $100,000:  Ironwood Builders
• Commercial Remodel over $150,000:  BJC Group, Inc.
• Residential Bath Remodel over $25,000:  Accurate Builders
• Residential Kitchen Remodel – $30,000 - $60,000:  Accurate Builders
