Bernie Baker Architect P.S. received a merit award in Custom Home magazine’s annual design competition for its restoration of a 1904 building on Bainbridge Island.

The project, which creates a guesthouse from an outbuilding with an attached outhouse and water tower. The project also won an award from Sunset magazine’s Western Home competition.

The winning design is published in the current issue of the magazine and other work of the architect is on display in the front window of the Winslow Paint Co.
