Hecker Architects P.S. of Bremerton was awarded one of seven honorable mentions nationwide in the annual 2002 design awards sponsored by Metal Architecture Magazine.

The honorable mentions followed just one first-place winner.

Hecker was honored for a home at a 225 Shore Drive in Bremerton. It boasts ribbed metal wall and roof panels.

Using metal wall and roof panels formed from 24-gauge Zincalume-coated steel, the “systems are aesthetically pleasing, offering contemporary styling, unique textures and metallic colors that sparkle with changing lighting conditions,” said Jeffrey Hecker, firm principal.
