Manufactured home dealers fined
   The Washington State Department of Licensing (DOL) recently assessed penalties on two well-known manufactured home dealers.

Oakwood Homes, Inc. along with Douglas R. Muir, Duane D. Daggett, William G. Edwards, and Robert A. Smith were assessed a $9,000 penalty for falsely disclosing the amount of a down payment in a purchase transaction and failing to pay other fees on the same transaction. The charges included false or misleading representations in the documents of sale related to the warranty on one transaction and failure to make required records available for inspection to the Department of Licensing in another.

Palm Harbor Homes, Inc., dba Palm Harbor Village and Larry T. Keener, Kelly Tacke and Scott Chaney were fined $500 for failure to disclose required terms and conditions of financing in an advertisement.
