Great Salmon Hoax author to speak
at Kitsap Alliance rally
James Buchal, renowned author of The Great Salmon Hoax, will be the featured speaker when the Kitsap Alliance of Property Owners (KAPO) holds it’s second annual rally Saturday, Oct. 6. Buchal’s books will be available at the rally.

Buchal was the rousing keynote speaker last year when the group held its organizational rally which drew in excess of 700 people to the President’s Hall at the Kitsap Pavilion.

The rally, heralded as “We, the people...” will also feature 35th District Sen. Tim Sheldon, Brian Bea, a private property rights activist and Eastern Washington homeowner who recently won a Washington State Supreme Court victory for private property rights; and Russell Brooks of the Pacific Legal Foundation, the lead attorney in the recent US District Court ruling in which the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) listing of Oregon Coastal Coho Salmon was found to be unlawful.

The rally will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kings West School, 4012 Chico Way, which is across from the fire station just south of Hwy. 3. There is no admission charge.

KAPO is comprised of citizens concerned about governmental control of private property. The group was formed last year in response to the county’s proposed shoreline regulations that could allow strict limitations on property usage and substantial permitting requirements for any changes made to waterfront parcels.
