JLS donates $10,000 to support
Bainbridge Little League team
John L. Scott Real Estate, which operates six offices in Kitsap County, presented a check for $10,000 to the Bainbridge Island Little League All-Star team. The donation was made to support the families of the players after company president J. Lennox Scott learned that some of them would not be able to see their sons play in the Little League World Series due to financial hardship.

Some of the families have exhausted their financial resources because they had been traveling with the team throughout its playoff games.

According to Mike Baggett of Bainbridge Island Little League, “One of the parents estimated rather conservatively it would be $8,000 to $10,000 for them to follow the kids through to Williamsport, Pennsylvania and support the team.”

It was upon hearing this news that John L. Scott decided to help. Bainbridge Island office Broker, Barb Crabtree, presented the check to the Bainbridge Island Little League Association, on Aug. 15 at a meeting for the Association and the parents of the Bainbridge Island All-Star’s.

The Bainbridge Island All-Star team was the first Seattle-area team to advance to the Little League World Series since 1982.
