| Longtime local residents Bruce and Betty Harlow are the new owners of Harrisons medical office building a cornerstone of the hospitals new Silverdale campus. The sale of the 53,000 square-foot structure which shares a common entryway with Harrison Silverdale, closed on January 18.
Harrison continues to own the hospital, which offers outpatient surgery, womens and childrens services, and 24-hour emergency care.
The facility will be renamed the Harlow Medical Building in honor of Bruce Harlows grandfather, Dr. Francis Ambrose Harlow, who was one of the regions earliest physicians, originally opening his practice in 1890 in Old Town Silverdale.
The building remains vital to Harrisons operation, housing physician, outpatient, and clinical functions. Among the buildings tenants are local doctors and a variety of clinical offices that include an MRI facility, laboratory, and a conference center.
According to Dave Gitch, Harrisons President and CEO, selection of a development partner for the office building was a part of the earliest plans for the medical campus. The fact that Mr. and Mrs. Harlow are from this community, have expressed a commitment to Harrison Silverdale; and feel a personal connection to the history of medicine in Kitsap County make them ideal, he said. Gitch added that a close working relationship between owners of the office building and the hospital underscore the future success of the 32-acre Silverdale campus.
Weve long felt a natural attraction to Harrison, and in particular to the new Silverdale campus, explains Bruce Harlow. We are honored to be associated with the dedicated staff who justifiably take great pride in their new facility.
The sale of the building was facilitated by Tim Arnold of Bradley Scott Real Estate. |
