| The Kingston Childrens Hospital Guild is the newest member of the Childrens Hospital Guild Association. It will conduct fundraising activities to benefit the hospitals Uncompensated Care Program.
The mission of Childrens Hospital has remained the same since it was founded in 1907 to provide quality medical care for all children, regardless of race, religion or their familys ability to pay.
Last year, 1,104 children from Kitsap County were treated at Childrens Hospital and provided with $1,521,890 in uncompensated care. There are 20 guilds and 425 guild members throughout Kitsap County Last year, they dedicated over 8,000 hours of volunteer work and raised nearly $100,000 for the Uncompensated Care Program.
Founding guild members include Kingston residents Marilyn Hickman, Lisa Frietzer, Suzy Smith, Laurel Lawson, Leana Stieh and Ann Welter.
It is very rewarding to raise funds for the Uncompensated Care program of Childrens Hospital, commented Guild President Marilyn Hickman. Our contribution ensures that all children continue to receive quality healthcare regardless of their familys ability to pay.
