New Children’s Hospital Guild in Kingston
The Kingston Children’s Hospital Guild is the newest member of the Children’s Hospital Guild Association. It will conduct fundraising activities to benefit the hospital’s Uncompensated Care Program.

The mission of Children’s Hospital has remained the same since it was founded in 1907 — to provide quality medical care for all children, regardless of race, religion or their family’s ability to pay.

Last year, 1,104 children from Kitsap County were treated at Children’s Hospital and provided with $1,521,890 in uncompensated care. There are 20 guilds and 425 guild members throughout Kitsap County Last year, they dedicated over 8,000 hours of volunteer work and raised nearly $100,000 for the Uncompensated Care Program.

Founding guild members include Kingston residents Marilyn Hickman, Lisa Frietzer, Suzy Smith, Laurel Lawson, Leana Stieh and Ann Welter.

“It is very rewarding to raise funds for the Uncompensated Care program of Children’s Hospital,” commented Guild President Marilyn Hickman. “Our contribution ensures that all children continue to receive quality healthcare regardless of their family’s ability to pay.”

This year, Children’s Hospital will provide more than $26 million in uncompensated care to needy children in the Pacific Northwest. For information about starting a new guild, contact Children’s Hospital Guild Association at (800) 635-1432 or askus@chmc.org.
