John Hight and Maggie Brewton-Hight recently broke ground for a new building for their Silverdale Farmer’s Insurance agency at a site on Myhre Rd., just east of the Mickelberry Rd. intersection. FPH Construction will build the new facility.

The expansion is part of a “Click and Mortar” strategy that will see the agency use the internet to grow its business from its traditional lines of home, auto, life and business insurance. It will move into the areas auto loans, educational loans, vacations, an auto buying service, mechanical breakdown insurance, homeowner’s warranties and real estate and mortgage assistance.
