Professional complex set to break
ground in South Kitsap
Dr. Bruce Yoder and Ken Morrison have announced plans to break ground for a 70,000 sq. ft. professional office complex in South Kitsap.

Located on a seven acre site adjacent to the intersection of South Kitsap Blvd. and Pottery Avenue, and designed by Bainbridge Island architect Miles Yanick, the project will encompass six buildings.

Construction of the first building will begin this month, and will be built by Mike Brown of FPH Construction. Brown is perhaps best known locally for his work on the Springhouse Gifts Victorian complex on Bethel Rd, across from the Post Office. The Bremerton firm of Art Anderson & Associates, which also did the Port Orchard City Hall, will handle the engineering.

According to leasing agent Jim Freeman of Coldwell Banker, the first building is already 93 percent leased. Yoder will utilize a portion of the building for his dental practice and a computer related business is committed for the remainder of the leased portion.

Freeman said some unique aspects of the complex are that it will include telecom sharing via fiber optic cable to all buildings, and that each building will have access to T-1 phone lines. Broadband internet access will also be available to all tenants as will shared computer networking with video conferencing capabilities which will also be available for public use. He added that the developers are currently in negotiations with several providers for these services, but the infrastructure for them will be built into the project.
