Renovation Style to showcase
Bainbridge Island remodel
Bernie Baker Architect, P.S. will have a unique Bainbridge Island Guesthouse featured in the May issue of Renovation Style Magazine. Renovation Style is a national “before and after magazine” emphasizing the old.

Baker rehabbed and designed the guesthouse from an old 1904 tool shed with outhouse and a skeleton of a water tower, a Bainbridge historic feature. All were combined to create this 350 square foot footprint. The guesthouse has been previously awarded an AIA/Sunset 2002 award.

Silverdale RE/Max office recognized by CMN
Sales associates at RE/Max Platinum Services donate a portion of every commission to the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN). Those proceeds go to benefit the young patients of Seattle’s Children’s Hospital.

Total CMN Contributions, from both the Silverdale and Poulsbo offices, exceeded $4,490 for the year 2003.

Rice Fergus Miller completes fire station
Construction is complete on the Town of Carbonado’s Fire Station No. 1, which was designed by Bremerton’s Rice Fergus Miller, is now complete. The firm started designing the project in early 2003.

The station is 4,129 square feet, and includes two double-deep apparatus bays, a community meeting room, kitchen, restrooms, showers, storage and workspace for day-to-day operations.

Local Realtor earns SRES designation

Serra Joins Rice Fergus Miller
   Rice Fergus Miller has added Dion Serra as a staff architect. He is a 2000 graduate of Olympic College, and a 2003 graduate of Washington State University, with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies. He has a high level of understanding in a variety of drafting and 3-D modeling programs, including AutoCAD, 3D Studio and Maya.

Windermere’s P.O. office adds new associates
Windermere Real Estate announced the addition of two new sales associates to its Port Orchard office.

Shelly Ransom brings 16 years of human resources management experience to the firm. She was previously the director of human resources and administrative services with KPS Health Plans in Bremerton.

Also joining the firm is M. Scott Deese. He has been a resident of Kitsap County for 26 years and has an extensive knowledge of home construction and a background in real estate investing and property management.
