Harrison to host Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon

Harrison Medical Center will host a free breast cancer awareness luncheon on Friday, Oct. 22, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event will include a buffet lunch, vendor exhibits and presentations by local healthcare experts.

Presentations will include:

  • “Warning Signs, Risks, Prevention” by Lois Bresaw, MD, Olympic Gynecology and Women’s Care
  • “Breast Cancer Detection” by Christian Erichsen, MD, Advanced Medical Imaging-Radiology
  • “Surgical Breast Procedures: Lumpectomy and Mastectomy” by James Clemen, MD, The Doctors Clinic-General Surgery
  • “Hereditary Breast Cancer — Who Is at Risk?” by Connie Morrison-Hoogstede, ARNP, Harrison Health Partners-Bremerton Hematology & Oncology
  • “Lymphedema: Prevention, Detection, and Treatment” by Melissa Mercogliano, PT, DPT, OCS, Center for Orthopedic and Lymphatic Physical Therapy.

Exhibitors who will share information during the event will include AMI, Center for Orthopedic and Lymphatic Physical Therapy, Green Mountain Rehab (Harrison Medical Center), Harrison Medical Center Oncology Services, Healthy Reflections Boutique, Judy’s Intimate Apparel, STAT Medical and Kitsap Cancer Cervices.
