Schools
Our state Senate has just passed a bill that forces school districts to determine whether students have health insurance. The districts are required to provide the students information on Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance programs for those children who do not have insurance.

With each passing year, Democrats in this state continue to turn our schools into extensions of social service agencies. We now actively seek more children who “need” free and/or reduced price lunches and breakfasts. Next stop, activism on advancing taxpayer supported health care for all children.

We have recently forced all state schools, including private schools, to teach about the human papilloma virus and its causes. Al Gore’s movie is now being shown as our schools continue to force a leftist social agenda.

We cannot expect our schools to lead in educational excellence if we keep forcing them to solve more and more societal challenges. Please return our schools to core learning and rigorous standards.
