| As this legislative session drew to a close, I must convey the extreme disappointment of thousands of Kitsap constituents regarding our local legislators’ lack of interest and negative action on the handling of ISC/NASCAR for our South Kitsap/Bremerton area. They allowed politics to come before people and have greatly disserved the business and labor communities, let alone the thousands of constituents that supported this.
A day doesn’t go by that I am approached by citizens asking in disbelief, “What happened — Is it really gone?”
I thank God for the “Leadership” that was shown by Lieutenant Governor Brad Owen — “He got it!” It is too late for Kitsap, but possibly not for Washington. I hope you will reconsider this for elsewhere in our state, should the occasion arise. This was a missed “opportunity of a lifetime” for South Kitsap/Bremerton.
