LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Poulsbo City Hall
According to Poulsbo City records, the Long Range Planning Committee is working with the City Attorney on a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a new City Hall. In a desperate attempt to raise money for construction, it was proposed that the RFP be revised to include consideration of a public/private partnership. It was stated that several entities have expressed an interest in such a partnership. (Who are they?) (Council Retreat Minutes, 1/27/07)

I still do not believe that the voters who opted for a downtown City Hall had any idea of the runaway costs of such a decision. They were conned into listening to the siren’s song without any warning of the hazardous, financial reefs ahead.

Due diligence and parking studies remain undone, architects plans are nonexistent with the future combined costs yet to be known.

What a continued waste of taxpayers time and money this imbroglio is generating.
