LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Eickmeyer
What kind of mistake did we make? In this last election we picked people not because of issues or integrity, we picked them for political affiliation. Rep. Bill Eickmeyer is clear proof, we made a mistake.

Eickmeyer was running a Bingo parlor that went broke and closed. He and the Bingo hall were under investigations for several violations. Their great leader blamed everyone but himself. He blamed the Indian casinos, his bookkeeper and even smoking laws, but not himself.

At the State level, he was no different. His personal assistant got caught making five thousands minutes of long distance calls to Ike’s campaign manager. Eickmeyer again claims “not my fault.” The Democrat controlled ethics board let him off on many other issues. His son was paid thousands of dollars to monitor his dads committees and lobby him for tax breaks. No violation there! He threatened the North Mason School board and tried unsuccessfully to stop them from firing his friends on the then commingled Theler board and again, no violation!

He was eventually found guilty of having his secretary do work for and make personal calls to his Bingo parlor. Although Eickmeyer pled guilty, he would not accept the blame. Eickmeyer had the nerve to blame the State for not giving him ethics training. WOW, what a leader! The Democratic controlled ethics board fined Ike’s poor personal assistant $1,000 and a $200 reimbursement. Eickmeyer himself only received a letter of warning and one on one ethic training paid for by your tax dollars.
