LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Definations
As the election campaigns hit full throttle, the average voter hears words that obfuscate rather than clarify. Here is a small dictionary to define the terms used by Democrat candidates.
  • Smart Growth: Pack 'em and stack 'em (a la Bellevue)
  • Critical Areas: An area which government controls. However, you still have to pay taxes on it.
  • Developers: Bad guys
  • Eminent Domain: Your land is public land if the government wants it for any reason.
  • Environment: Everything around that must be protected from developers, you and me.
  • Regulations: Ways to direct, oppress and control you and me.
  • “I will listen:” "I don't know what I am talking about and I cannot figure it out."
  • Private Property Rights: If you have private property, government has the right to take it.
