LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Definations |
As the election campaigns hit full throttle, the average voter hears words that obfuscate rather than clarify. Here is a small dictionary to define the terms used by Democrat candidates.
- Smart Growth: Pack 'em and stack 'em (a la Bellevue)
- Critical Areas: An area which government controls. However, you still have to pay taxes on it.
- Developers: Bad guys
- Eminent Domain: Your land is public land if the government wants it for any reason.
- Environment: Everything around that must be protected from developers, you and me.
- Regulations: Ways to direct, oppress and control you and me.
- I will listen: "I don't know what I am talking about and I cannot figure it out."
- Private Property Rights: If you have private property, government has the right to take it.
