| As a preparation for voting for State Representative in the 26th LD, I studied the extensive websites of Larry Seaquist and the Reverend Ron Boehme. After reading both the choice was easy; Captain Larry Seaquist. I was totally amazed by Reverend Boehme's collection of “Youth with a Mission” writings.
As a public school teacher for over 30 years I was especially offended at the Reverend's writings on public schools. Reverend Boehme stated that “Satan controls the big cities, and we, as a nation, are becoming more and more urbanized. He (Satan) also controls the public schools - so his “recruits” will increase each year.
I look for the contract that I signed with the devil. I couldn't find it anywhere. I examined myself in the mirror and found no horns or tails on my body. I am sure that your readers already know that teachers are hard working, under paid, self-sacrificing individuals. Teachers should be celebrated, not denigrated by people like the Reverend Boehme. As a practicing Christian myself I find the Reverend's attitudes towards the teaching profession especially offensive.
I also noticed that the Reverend Boehme he has taken down his link to his “YWAM" articles off of his website and that the "YWAM" articles themselves no longer open at their website for viewing by the public. Obviously Reverend Boehme knows that his views are unacceptable to the voters of the 26th Legislative District.
