LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Seaquist
The first thing I did after meeting Larry Seaquist was enter his name into Google. Do that now and you find a lot more material, mostly political in nature. In 2004 none of it was partisan, consisting of a thoughtful search for peace in the world and articles related to his naval career.

For about a year I had occasional talks with Larry, in part because I am the Democratic State Committeeman for the 26th LD. When Bob Oke announced that he would not seek re-election, I asked Larry to consider running for that position. Over the subsequent months several of us had in-depth conversations with Larry and became convinced that he shared our political philosophies. When Derek Kilmer decided to run for State Senator, we asked Larry Seaquist to seek the House position.

Larry has been easy to talk to, so that one can have an actual discussion of ideas. I am confident that Larry will represent the interests of the 26th District by thoughtfully listening to all who wish to discuss issues and legislation.
