LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Neatherlin
I want voters to know Randy Neatherlin. He cares about people not party. Randy’s a problem solver, and our state needs fixing. In the nearly thirty years I’ve known Randy he’s given time to countless organizations without desiring compensation, rare in one seeking to be elected.

Randy says “everybody counts” and means it. Randy feels the government belongs to us, and we should decide. I’m tired of politicians whose every decision is made to advance politically. Randy’s goal is to empower us.

I look at high costs of doing business here; it’s hard for small business to survive. I see education of our children decreasing, while money spent for it increases. We voted for a state lottery, with proceeds going to schools. I don’t remember getting a say in that money being put in the general fund.

Whenever there’s an election you’ll hear candidates saying they’ll make it better, but they don’t. If you think of Washington State like a business, and got poor returns on investments, you’d fire your management, or your board.

It’s never felt good to vote. I can’t remember having a good choice. I hear people say, “You have to choose the lesser of two evils.” Why do we have to choose evil? When Randy said he was running for state representative, I knew it would feel great to vote. I know Randy isn’t evil. Randy Neatherlin’s an honest man. Randy cares about the people’s prosperity. His reward, when we’re represented fairly. Randy Neatherlin has our best interests in mind, not promoting his political career. (That comes through great representation.)

When listening to Randy, I’m amazed we have a candidate who believes what he says, and when asked a question answers it without any double talk avoiding it. I’ve seen things decided statewide, where the outcome is base on wishes of our three more populated counties. Only a few of these decisions benefit the 35th, yet we pay. It is not fair; because we choose to stay rural we don’t get as much say as our larger neighbors. We have a different way of life, different needs, and should be represented differently. Randy Neatherlin wants to do that.

Randy will represent us as a part of the state of Washington, and not the State of King County. At the forum in Belfair on Aug 16, whenever Randy Neatherlin spoke, ‘Ike’ carried on his own conversation. Is he more concerned with his own agenda? Does he do this while in session? Is this why he does nothing for us, because he doesn’t pay attention? That would explain a lot. A good leader listens to everything.

Randy Neatherlin is well informed about the needs of the people. He uses the slogan “Tell Ike to take a hike” well I’m helping him tell Ike to start walking. In November we get the opportunity to drop dead weight in our State House, and elect someone who gets the job done. Someone who’ll preserve our way of life, and not let people with different needs decide for us. I’m voting for Randy Neatherlin. When you see the sign (I am 1 of U) remember he’s one of us.
