LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Hamilton
I would like to add my voice to those in support of Jack Hamilton for commissioner. I’ve known Mr. Hamilton for seven years and have found him to be very civic minded and a solid stand up gentleman.

The light of Mr. Hamilton’s day is his lovely former nurse wife Donna and his family. His work for United Way and the famous Silverdale “Duck Races” for charity, not to mention all the community advocacy he does without asking for recognition is truly inspiring and beneficial to our community.

Mr. Hamilton has exhibited many times over solid leadership capabilities whether it be working with very diverse groups at the United Way, his career in the military or his contribution to the citizens of Kitsap County as an elected Freeholder working with other concerned civic minded citizens like Democrats Sherry Appleton, Mary Ellen Madison, Sharon Schrader, Barbara Stephenson and Gordon Walgren. I personally watched some of the Freeholder work study sessions and saw the intelligent interaction and consensus building between Jack and the Freeholders who genuinely tried to progress our county governance to reflect the community as it looks today rather than our antiquated form of county government structure. Considering our primary rules now, Jack was prescient when he led the call for the sheriff and other local offices to become non-partisan under a county charter.

Jack’s level headedness, vast business experiences and can do attitude is just what we need in Kitsap at this important juncture in time. Please vote for Jack Hamilton for County Commission.
