LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Boehme
It is very obvious that Mr. Boehme has worked hard and long at perfecting his art of verbal defenses. As well he might — considering the chimera of his claims to fame.

His statement regarding his past “successes” at locations distant in time and geography are quite often defeated by the simplest of investigations of public data; including the mere reading of his own writings.

His pandering to the causes celebre of the moment are also often disputed by his own prior writings; and his close association with known felons is equally disquieting. His proclaimed communication and perhaps communion with his God is not in question, and is protected under constitutional fiat.

What is not protected, and is of concern to voters, is Mr. Boehme’s frequent chameleon-like fading out of his past and reappearing in bright new opportunistic colors. Too many such “adaptations” lead to wonder as to whether the gentleman really has any intrinsic core values which are not subject to modification or scrapping — should opportunity beckon from another direction.
