Are Democrats in denial
over true aim of radical Islam?
By Adele Fergusen

The only thing that can save the Republicans now in keeping their majorities in the U.S. House and Senate is if the old thinking prevails among their voters, “All these members of Congress are sleazeballs and crooks except mine.”

If too many holier than thou Republicans choose not to vote in order to show their disgust over the Mark Foley affair, all is lost. And while I share the disgust, I look upon the possibility of a Democratic return to power as akin to an unexploded roadside bomb.

Bob Woodward, the onetime reporter who now saves news stories for his books, because he makes more money that way, has a new one out called “State of Denial,” which is aimed at producing a regime change in D.C . He admitted rushing to finish it so it could be published before the Nov. 7 election. But let me borrow the title for what really is going on today that could be disastrous for not only America but other non-Muslim nations. The D’s, including President Clinton, have looked upon 9/11 as the committing of a crime to be dealt with by law enforcement, not what it was, the relaunching of the radical Muslim war to take over the world, I know that sounds crazy, but it’s true. Americans are in a state of denial over it, They think that all we have to do is negotiate with this enemy, pull out of Iraq and the Middle East and everything will be fine.

They do not understand that we are engaged in a conflict that may never end. These people want to kill us, Americans especially, because we are the infidels and enablers of the Jews in Israel. Golda Meir said “We will have peace with the Arabs when they love their children more than they hate us’’ and there’s no sign of that.

Frequent targets of the terrorists in Iraq are American soldiers giving candy and treats to Iraqi children, where they kill more of their own children than they do soldiers. Last month, 35 people, mostly women and children, were killed in Baghdad when a bomb detonated next to a line of women waiting to receive cooking fuel from a tanker truck.

Many here may be in a state of denial about this enemy but thank God our president is not. Neither is Pope Benedict XVI, who sees the radical Islamic movement as another attempt to eliminate Catholics.

In the meantime, we have Democrats and the media doing their best to return to power the D’s who would accord captured terrorists the same rights as citizens, who applaud leaking of banking transactions and wiretapping methods we are using to learn in advance what’s planned for us by the enemy, despite the fact those methods aided Great Britain in preventing the blowing up of ten airplanes headed for the USA. In-house critics of the Bush administration in the Justice Department are revealing state secrets to the media. These people should be jailed. So should media members who use such information and refuse to reveal their sources. This is war.

Today’s Democrats are appeasers. There are few ‘’Scoop’’ Jacksons any more.

There was a saying in Word War II that you can’t do business with Hitler.

The D’s want to do business with Hitler, i.e., the power crazed leaders of Iran and North Korea, because they believe they can talk or bribe them out of pursuing the bomb. If they win Nov. 7, there will be no missile defense system, no fence on the border with Mexico and nothing done with illegal immigrants because D’s count them as their votes. If our troops start corning home at Christmas, all our deaths in lraq will have been in vain.
