| As a concerned voter I have read, with great interest, the recent letters about Ron Boehme, a candidate for the Washington Legislature. I am however, very concerned when I hear that Boehme spends a great deal of time on the campaign trail, alone, with a particular single young woman.
I am not accusing Boehme of an affair, but he needs to realize that the same rules which apply to other politicians apply to him as well and that the appearance of impropriety is seen as actual impropriety. This is exactly the same manifestation of arrogance that destroyed the presidential campaign of Gary Bauer, forcing him to drop out of the race in Feb. 2000.
Mr. Boehme campaigns as a hard-right moralist: do his actions support his contentions?
