Yes, it is beautiful now. There seems to be a run away race to get to the permit process for the International Speedway Corporation. Yes, there is an adrenalin rush with speed and risk and acceleration toward the darker side of life.
A few visionary people still hope that we can preserve our rural life. Of course we are growing and there are other ideas to be considered. For instance, one person recently suggested that we consider building a grand place where active over 55 year old people will live. Tying to this idea, it was suggested that a wildlife watching project could bring billions of dollars. There could be hiking, dancing, swimming, painting, writing.
The Del Webb Corporation, a Fortune 200 company already recognized the growing numbers of retiring young at heart people and have built communities in 28 states. Ours is not one of them.
Let us generate even more ideas for a wholesome Kitsap County that will do our people proud.
