| I find it quite hypocritical that in your last issue, Dr. Jason Cheung, president of the Kitsap County Medical Society, is quoted as saying in one story (Concerns over long term community impact of KPS sale remain) as saying, "They (Group Health) have a history of diverting patients to Seattle. It will impact physicians, hospitals, and ultimately the infrastructure of local health care."
Yet in another story, (New medical center breaks ground on Levin Road in Silverdale) Dr. Cheung is named as a partner in Medical Partners L.L.C., a group which is building a 28,000 square-foot medical facility in Central Kitsap. The story goes on to point out the facility is being constructed by BNB Builders of Seattle.
So my question to Dr. Cheung is simply this: If you are so concerned about the "community impact" of Group Health sending business to Seattle, then why aren't you concerned about the "community impact" of spending your own construction dollars there instead of here at home?
