LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Kudos for kindness
Two months ago, my beloved Airedale had to be put to sleep. I was on my way to cremate him and stopped at Rose Crafts in Port Orchard, to see if they had a kit with which to make a "paw print" of my dog.

I walked in and was most ably assisted by Ms. Carol Young, a salesperson. Not only did Carol find the kit I needed; she mixed up the plaster of Paris; and then Gary Rose, the owner of Rose Crafts, came over and tried valiantly to dry the mixture with something like a blow dryer! When Carol thought the mixture was the right consistency, she and her husband followed me out to the parking lot. We lifted the box Reilly was in and put it on the ground. Carol and her husband tried very patiently to obtain a paw print! Unfortunately, the mixture was still too wet. I thanked them profusely and drove off to the crematorium.

Never in my life have I seen such customer service! Carol, her husband, and Gary really went far beyond any courteous assistance a store might provide its customer!

They are to be thanked and commended for their kindness, their sensitivity, and their genuine sweetness. This dog was an integral part of my life for nine years and meant everything to me. I will remember Rose Crafts' special treatment of me (and Reilly) forever!
