Without prosecutions,
election fraud will continue
By Tom McCabe

Democrats stole the 2004 election for Governor just like they stole the U.S. Senate election in 2000 and the Supreme Court election in 2002. To his credit, Republican candidate for Governor Dino Rossi decided not to concede which allowed time for his supporters to investigate fraud and abuse in the 2004 election.

Here’s what we have found so far:

  • Hundreds of people voted twice – 322 voters in King County alone cast provisional ballots even though they had already voted by absentee ballots;
  • Hundreds (and probably thousands) of felons voted illegally;
  • At least 660 provisional ballots in King County were either inserted directly into vote counting machines in violation of state law and/or tabulated without mandatory verification;
  • Dead people voted;
  • King County counted 2000 more votes than voters;
  • King County election officials found extra ballots ten times during November and December;
  • Democratic Party operatives may have forged some voter’s signatures.

   Despite this evidence — most of which was uncovered by the Building Industry Association of Washington along with the Evergreen Freedom Foundation (President Bob Williams) and Soundpolitics.com (blogger Stefan Sharkansky) — not one law enforcement official in King County is investigating. U.S. Attorney for Western Washington says he will not investigate because he doesn’t have jurisdiction. The King County Prosecutor says he will not investigate unless charges are made by King County’s election Supervisor Dean Logan, a Democrat and former labor union lobbyist. The King County Sheriff says she will not investigate because she has an election in November. The Secretary of State will not investigate — in fact; he will not even ask the feds to supply him with a list of legal aliens living in Washington so we can compare it to the list of voters.

Shockingly, all these law enforcement officials (U.S. Attorney, King County Prosecutor, King County Sheriff, Secretary of State) are presumably Republicans. They are doing exactly what Republican leaders have done far too long in this state — look the other way and ignore illegal activity on part of the Democrats. They bury their heads in the sand in order to keep their jobs.*

By and large, newspaper editors do the same thing. The Seattle Times called BIAW “sleazy” for attempting to uncover election fraud. A Times editor told me: “We don’t do those things in these parts.”

But we do allow Democrats to steal elections.

In other states, it is not this way. In Georgia, according to King County Republican activist Rose Strong who used to live there, several Democratic officials have been jailed for election fraud. The voter lists in that state has been purged of those who could not be reached at a mailing address.

In Kentucky, the U.S. Attorney there has investigated, prosecuted and won convictions against Democrats who were stealing elections. By the way, the Kentucky U.S. Attorney says Washington law enforcement officers should interview all the Democratic operatives who gathered the signatures on affidavits because one of them will likely crack and admit to forgery.

And many newspapers in other states have uncovered vote fraud by Democrats. The Miami Herald won a Pulitzer Prize for investigating election irregularities in Miami. The Milwaukee Journal has done an in depth report on election fraud in 2004.

But we don’t do things like that in these parts.

Until some Democrats are prosecuted and convicted for election fraud, they are going to keep stealing elections. Which brings me to my final conclusion: we have voter fraud in Washington State because we tolerate voter fraud in Washington State.

*Note: Unlike Republicans, Democratic politicians in Washington are never reluctant to investigate and prosecute Republicans for alleged wrongdoing in an election. A few years ago, labor unions complained to then Attorney General Gregoire that BIAW and Tom Stewart (a Republican financier) had violated election laws. Less than an hour after the complaint was filed and without one shred of evidence, the AG’s office opened a massive investigation of BIAW. The AG subpoenaed 72 boxes of records — every check I ever signed; every health insurance claim made by one of my employees; every memo I ever wrote. After months of investigating, we were cleared. Tom Stewart, the Republican financier, wasn’t as fortunate. He was imprisoned for six months.
