I am ashamed to admit I once was a Democrat. To think that a political party would approve a candidate mailing fliers packed with lies and distortions is deplorable. Lois McMahan’s opponent in the 26th District did just that. He made two mailings full of slander.

Lois has always been hard on crime, wanted local control for schools, more money getting to the classroom and cutting taxes. Do you honestly know of any Democratic representative who voted to lower taxes or local control of schools or anything else we want? We have a clear choice this year. For seat #2 you can vote for Lois McMahan who has integrity, or the representative who lies.

Running for re-election seat #1 is a Democrat who says, “We must solve the current problems with transportation in the area.” She has been in Olympia with a lot of other Democrats for a long time. Why haven’t the problems been solved already? She also says, “The number of college-educated people in Kitsap County is abysmal.” She thinks we are uneducated. If we vote for her rather than Ed Mitchell we will prove she is right, we are stupid.

For Pat Lantz’s information I’m sure I’m not the only person in Kitsap County with a Masters Degree.
