Commissioner’s Race

Pardon me for being a bit sarcastic but when I read the words “Qualified, Fair, Decisive” on the bottom of a campaign sign for a current county commissioner who is running again, I couldn’t help but shake my head at the word “Fair” Fair that is if you happen to be a “left wing social planner” who wants the government to be “guardian” of your whole life including what you even think!

Using the term “super manipulator” would be a much better description. One example — remember how Jan Angel was deprived of her turn as commission chair?

Not being able to attend too many of the Commissioner’s meetings on Monday mornings at the Court House in Port Orchard, I have however watched them on BKAT. I encourage all citizens to do the same and keep informed.

It is time that we get a commissioner who is truly “fair” uses “common sense” and doesn’t hold public meetings where there is a facilitator who pre-determines what the outcome of such meetings will be. We have an opportunity to elect such a person and that is Patty Lent.

Knowing what she believes about the role of commissioner, I am assured that she is not one of the “we know what is best for you” elitist types that are in my opinion the curse of our political world today.

And of course you realize, the taxpayers get to foot the bill for all these wonderful “community meetings” that will further the upcoming “Utopia” of the planners!
