Letters To The Editor - Trust Issue
Kitsap officials are concerned that people don’t trust them. They think if they just stick to the “facts,” the mistrust issue will go away.

NEWS FLASH: “Facts” are not the same thing as “truth.” Public officials and regulatory bureaucrats and even the media regularly spout “facts,” only to amend those “facts” or retract them: Ice age imminent. Hatchery salmon are not “real” salmon. “I did not have sex with that woman, Ms. Lewinski.”

Why aren’t county officials questioning the inconsistency of federal and state regulatory agencies? Instead they suck up to them while calling those who dare to question the veracity of alleged ‘experts’ “misinformed” or “uneducated.”

Why is it the only people who are “misinformed” or “uneducated” are those who don’t agree with the vision of “anointed” bureaucrats?

“YOU need to be educated,” we are told, which means spoon-feeding we witless ones with limited, carefully selected information that defends the position of the anointed while blaming others for the failure of official policies.

Indoctrination is not education!

Bureaucrats who pursue self-serving agendas with pompous arrogance are not leaders. A leader is willing to speak and act with courage, confidence and truth, but at the same time risk sacrificing himself for the good of those he serves.
Seen any leaders lately?
