| Some of the most important issues in the debate over the proposed county charter are voters' rights to referendum, agenda petition and performance audits. These rights are not currently held by voters in Kitsap County. They are crucial to effective and democratic involvement by voters (and taxpayers!) in county government affairs. Those who oppose such voter rights are clearly an elite who wish to grasp power to themselves so that they can spend our money and dictate how we are to live our lives and use our property. Don't let them do it! vote FOR the charter in February!
