Letters To The Editor - Support Bozeman
As a native Bremertonian and one who works in Bremerton, I care a great deal about our city. The future of Bremerton is at a crucial turning point and we are in dire need of a mayor who can provide proven and fresh leadership to guide this city out of its doldrums. We are blessed to have Cary Bozeman running for mayor. Bremerton has been a land of missed opportunity for too long and I can only hope that we don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to elect a candidate of Cary Bozeman’s stature. Cary has a “no nonsense” approach to problem solving that we so desperately need.

Numerous pockets of Bremerton are eyesores and are the legacy of our recent mayors. Late last year, I had the opportunity to host a tour of the Bremerton area for the president of a prominent national trade association. This individual summed up his impression of Bremerton in one word: “tired.”

Which begs the question: Are the citizens of Bremerton tired of being a “tired” city? Bremerton simply cannot afford four more years of the “business as usual” attitude by the “good old boys” network. Cary Bozeman will provide a clean break from that dismal syndrome that has plagued our beloved city.

I recently learned that Cary was the target of a negative campaign “hit piece” mailed anonymously to some Bremerton voters. I was appalled by such a shameful tactic. Bremerton deserves better. The content of the article was not only written by a political party operative, it had no factual basis whatsoever.

One of the reasons that I admire Cary Bozeman so much is because he is above these sort of petty antics. Can we say the same for his competition?
