| Don’t be chinnookerd by commissioner Endresen’s comments about the discarded shoreline regulations. Saying they, went way too far. (Path B). It is a fine statement a year late.
A year ago Renee Beam the County Shoreline Manager went through 25 meetings telling people the county would adopt a new Shoreline Master Plan by January 1, 2001. and the commissioners were committed to getting the 4(d) exemption.
To get a 4-(d) exemption you have to get through Bob Turner at National Marines Fisheries. He said He only knows about (path B) from the State Department of Ecology.
Commissioners Endresen and Botkin have backed off their new shoreline rules because of the overwhelmingly political and citizen opposition. Period.
But don’t relax, They continue to work on a new storm water rules that will affect virtually every property owner. And you know they go way too far.
Commissioner Angel has been saying for a year the county should slow down on the Endangered Species Issues. Looks like she has been right.
