Living in the South until we were transferred here with the Navy, it brought back memories and made me a little homesick.

The “Top 10 List” about the Waffle House was not only funny — it was so true! The hard part is trying to explain not only the Waffle House, but Shoney’s and the Cracker Barrel to someone who has never been down south, because there is absolutely no Northwest equivalent. Denny’s or Shari’s don’t even come close. And let’s not forget Stuckey’s and those pecan logs that are advertised on billboards for 100 miles in every direction.
