Campaign Promises
In her first campaign for office, Commissioner Chris Endresen promised to stop the fighting between the county, cities, state and tribes. In this last election Ms. Endresen stated that she had accomplished this task. It would be nice if this were true.

At this time, the City of Poulsbo planning commission has said “We see no benefit to continue the process in regards to the Poulsbo Sub-area Plan.” A reaction to heavy handed County Planning Commissioners. The Suquamish Tribe is appealing the City of Bremerton and the County’s approval of the Port Blakely Project. The State Department of Ecology refuses to issue water connections which this County sorely needs and has been awaiting six years. The City of Port Orchard feels left out of the loop in planning a new Bremerton-County joint use building in Bremerton. All of this discord in just the past two weeks! Does this appear that the infighting has stopped?

In this last campaign Commissioner Endresen made the ferries and transportation her #1 issue. Maybe we should all keep a close eye on ferry fares and commute times!
