| Over the course of this campaign many things have been written and said that I disagreed with. As a candidate, there is often not time or opportunity to address every issue. There are several that came from Commissioner Endresen at the end or past that I would like to comment on.
She said that the Affordable Housing Council was trying to buy an election by their $9,000 contribution. First, I am not for sale. The fact is my campaign raised more money than hers without the $9,000, although I was glad to receive it. My wife Liz and I also put $13,000 of our own money in, plus $4,000 from our families. We had over 200 supporters. Its interesting how she can so easily accuse others.
Commissioner Endresen said the campaign was nastier than I would of liked. I ran my campaign on the issues important to this county: Job growth, more deputies, property rights, less taxes and her record. People need to know her record on these issues. Yes, I ran an aggressive campaign, nasty no.
People should also know she threatened to sue my campaign if we used her past legal problems. We had no plans to use them but to threaten us on her part is nasty especially if they are true.
