Rochelle Doan has joined Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) as director of development and community relations. She comes to KMHS from the Kitsap County Behavioral Health Alliance (KCBHA) where she served as coordinator. In that position she was responsible for facilitating the Alliance vision of broader access to behavioral health services and expanding local crisis triage capacity.
In her new position, Doan, who has over a decade of non-profit sector consulting experience, will provide oversight for all development and community relations at KMHS including the Golf Classic, Silver Rose Society, major gifts, and public grants and private foundations in support of agency services.
Since 2002 she has served as adjunct faculty for the Human Services program at Western Washington Universitys Bremerton campus. Her experience ranges from engaging communities in building assets among youth, to health, education, social service, and environmental initiatives. She currently serves as treasurer for The Mustard Seed Project, a local organization dedicated to creating services that help older adults remain in their homes. |
