Port of Bremerton Commissioner Mary Ann Huntington recently announced her intention to run for re-election. Her campaign co-chairs are Carolyn Powers and Carol Arends.
Huntington stated, “We have come a long way during my tenure including rebuilding the Port Orchard Marina after it was destroyed by a snowstorm.” The marina brings in over one million tourist dollars a year to the economy and is host to the largest Chris Craft Rendezvous in the world. The new Bremerton Marina will be opened early spring of 2008 and is predicted to be just as successful.
Forming a partnership with the Port Orchard Soroptimists Huntington was able to complete her dream of a children’s playground at the Marina Park. |
