CPA Mutchler earns CFE Designation
Local Certified Public Accountant Christopher T. Mutchler, CPA, CFE, CVA of Southard, Beckham, Atwater & Berry, CPA, PS has been awarded the “Certified Fraud Examiner” (CFE) Designation by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. CFEs are knowledgeable in four areas critical to the fight against fraud: fraudulent financial transactions, criminology & ethics, legal elements of fraud, and fraud investigations.

The AFCE’s Board of Regents awards this designation only to select professionals who meet a stringent set of criteria, including character, experience, and education. Mr. Mutchler has successfully met these criteria and now joins the ranks of over 16,000 business and government professionals worldwide who have also earned the CFE certification.

CFE’s have the ability to examine data and records to detect and trace fraudulent transactions; write investigation reports; advise clients as to their findings and testify at trial; be well-versed in the law as it relates to fraud and fraud investigations; and understand the underlying factors that motivate individuals to commit fraud.

In August, 2006, Mutchler also completed the certification process with the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts to earn his designation of Certified Valuation Analysts (CVA).

The National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts is a global, professional association that supports the business valuation, litigation support and fraud deterrence consulting disciplines within the CPA and professional communities.
