The Kitsap Peninsula Visitor & Convention Bureau recently announced the addition of Tracy Shearer and Louise Lightfoot to the staff.
Shearer, as office manager, will work full time and take on the day-to-day operation of the office along with various projects. She has a BA in International Business and is a licensed property and casualty insurance broker.
Lightfoot, will work part time as the volunteer coordinator, helping coordinate the visitor center and volunteers. She has been in the travel industry for the past 28 years and her experience includes all phases of domestic and international travel for individual, group, incentive and corporate travel.
Tina Degarimore was named as the director of the VCB’s newly formed Kitsap Sports Council. She will assist in selecting the advisory group which will act as the guidance body of the Council, and has begun meeting with local sports organizations, facilities operators, parks and recreation personnel.
Degarimore was formerly director of business relations and product development for a small kayak adventure cruise line in Seattle. In addition to her experience in adventure cruises, she has an extensive background in tourism and event management. |
