PSAT names new communications director

The Puget Sound Action Team recently appointed Linda Elliott Farmer, as its new communications director. Farmer is responsible for overseeing the Action Team’s communications and public education and involvement efforts throughout Puget Sound.

Farmer spent more than five years heading the City of Tacoma’s Environmental Services Communications and Education Team. While there, she worked on stormwater, wastewater and solid waste issues, and oversaw the award-winning EnviroChallenger environmental education program.

Previously, Farmer worked for five years in the News and Information Office at Pacific Lutheran University. She also spent four years as a reporter and section editor for The Federal Way News.
